Distribution of Funds October 2009

CACWAC has been operating in Kabul Afghanistan since 2001, helping marginalized orphan children to access their rights to health, education, and livelihood. We have been successful through your support and kind donations to be able to provide the basic necessities of life. In October 2009, we distributed winter supplies for over 100 orphan children south of the Kabul district. The winter supplies included: Winter clothing, food, school supplies, wood, and funds to be able to survive through the harsh winter season. One of our goals is to help smallholding households mobilize their entrepreneurial skills and gain greater knowledge of good farming practices so that they can increase their incomes and establish sustainable livelihoods. Integrating agriculture and microfinance programmers, the Farm project will benefit around 300 families in the Kalacha district in its first initial phase alone.

Distribution of Funds

Dear Friends,

As you know, I am involved with the Canadian Afghan Centre for War-Affected Children and believe strongly in goal and mission. On April 27, 2008, CACWAC raised funds in the amount of $14, 000 CDN. This is a personal issue for me and I am honoured to raise funds on the charity's behalf and successfully distributed on December 21, 2008 the winter relief funds to over 150 orphans in Kalacha, Kabul, Afghanistan. We were able to purchase winter supplies such as; winter jackets, socks, boots, gloves, coal, wood, matches, flour, rice, cooking oil, sugar and school supplies. We were able to provide their basic necessities for the harsh and cold winter season in Kabul. Please make a donation and read about this cause and why I am supporting it. I am committed to this cause and I ask you to join me in supporting this, please know that every donation does make a difference!

Sincerely,

Khorshid Attai
President
