CHILD SPONSORSHIP

Since 2001, CACWAC has worked to ease the burden of poverty placed upon Afghan orphans. Today we are working to fight poverty and child labour by connecting sponsors with children. There are thousands of poor children waiting for you to help them build a better future so they can grow up and become healthy, productive adults.

Your $25 a month sponsorship will help a child receive an education, food, and clothing. We have families from Canada , the United States and Germany who have already sponsored children.

Please fill out the form today to help against child poverty and to help Afghan orphans.

How your sponsorship helps:

  • Education Support
  • Medical Care
  • Nutritional Aid
  • Family Assistance

PUBLIC EDUCATION:

We educate the public about the facts of vulnerable children and families living in poverty.

CACWAC believes that informed public discussion about these facts will lead to social policies implemented at all levels of government to eradicate child poverty.

Our national public education campaign includes newspaper advertisements which have been sponsored and supported by our local MP and the government of Afghanistan .

We respond to diverse communities in Toronto , including the corporate community so they can become actively involved in helping increase public awareness about Afghan orphans. We also support government efforts to help with poverty-related issues.

FUNDRAISING:

CACWAC depends on cultivating and expanding our individual donor base to provide the financial support needed to continue our programs and services for the Afghan orphans.

SELF-SUPPORT GROUPS:

Since 2001, a self support project has been created for widowed women focused on increasing financial support, literacy and survival skills.

  • To start with the project, we provided supplies and materials
  • An ongoing support group was facilitated by professionals to assist widowed women in remote villages with social & economic issues. Training in small business and managing a business
  • Access to vocational training for Animal husbandry and Domestication.
